Fans of movies or just a movie buff like I am, you probably know all about the special screening that is going around all over the world for a 15min sneak preview of James Cameron next epic film Avatar. I my self woke up very late to get tickets but was lucky to find they weren’t sold out yet. I also became like a lot of fans stuck on a error 303 when I went to the site to get the tickets. Apparently the site had crashed from all the fans rushing in to get there free tickets. Yahoo News reported that a representative for 20th Century Fox said “the site was being repaired. The studio will unveil the film’s trailer in theaters and online Friday, and fans who score tickets for special showings at 3D theaters across the globe will see extended previews.”
For anyone that doesn’t know, James Cameron is the director that brought us Terminator, Terminator 2; Judgment Day, Aliens, The Abyss, True Lies and of course Titanic which won 11 Academy Awards including “Best Picture”. With each new film he has taken story telling and even more so special effects to all new heights. With avatar being 4 years in the making and having a 300+ million dollar budget theirs a lot of hype. I won’t say I’m hyped for the film cause I’ve haven’t seen anything of it yet and with the teaser trailer coming out the same day as the screening, all I can really say is I’m looking forward to see what he has come up with.
Me and my mother both scored tickets to the screening, so at the 6pm me and my mother will go in together and see it. After that I will go and pick up my young nephew and take him in to see the 7pm screening cause he has a very illuminating imagination and I think this will be something he can really enjoy and possibly spark something for him in the future. Hopefully they don’t make us sign any kind of confidentiality form or anything like that and I will post up a small review about what I saw and I what I think. See you then.
